Colvmns by the Sea is a distinguished oceanfront landmark property located at the eastern end of Cape May Island, New Jersey.

It was built concurrently with the famous "Cape May Hotel" and other impressive structures during the early part of the 20th century as part of a new development plan for the eastern end of the island. Up to the that time, the area was wetlands and marshes that opened onto the Atlantic Ocean and was known locally as Cape Island Sound.
